Carla Hebert
Founder, ERYT 500
Carla received her primary, foundational yoga teacher training at the Shoshoni Yoga Ashram & Shambhavananda School of Yoga in the mountains above Boulder, Colorado. Teaching hatha yoga since 2001, Carla’s practice is based on the traditional eight-limbed path, blending mantra, pranayama, and an alignment-based meditative vinyasa (linking movement and breath) for the cultivation of strength, balance, and equanimity.
After teaching inside yoga studios in Colorado and California for many years, Carla—an avid hiker and lover of the outdoors—began holding yoga classes in a hidden meadow at Sonoma County’s Taylor Mountain Regional Park and Open Space in the spring of 2015. And YogaHike Sonoma was born.
Carla approaches her classes with creativity and joy, drawing inspiration from the natural world and from experienced teachers of the Anusara, Iyengar, and Ashtanga yoga traditions. Carla is completing her 500-hour RYT through Yoga Medicine and the Shoshoni Yoga Ashram.
